Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Woltz Hospice Home

Mountain Valley Hospice | Dobson, NC
7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Every 3rd Weekend

Every Patient. Every Family. Every Time.

At Mountain Valley Hospice, what we do is personal—for the patients and families we serve, and for those of us who choose this work. We care for individuals facing serious and terminal illness, providing comfort, dignity, and support during some of life’s most meaningful moments.

For those called to this work, there is nothing more important.

A Different Kind of CNA Role

If you’re looking for a CNA role where you can slow down, be present, and provide truly patient-centered care—this is it.

At Woltz Hospice Home, you’ll care for patients in a peaceful, home-like setting designed specifically for end-of-life care. Unlike traditional healthcare environments, the focus here is not on volume—it’s on comfort, connection, and dignity.

What This Role Looks Like

As a CNA at Woltz Hospice Home, you will provide hands-on, compassionate care to patients with serious and terminal illness.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with personal care, bathing, and comfort measures
  • Supporting patients who may be actively declining
  • Being present with patients and families at the end of life
  • Providing care and support immediately following death
  • Working closely with nurses and the interdisciplinary team

This role requires both clinical skill and emotional presence. The care you provide is not rushed—it’s intentional, respectful, and deeply meaningful.

What to Expect

  • 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation
  • Inpatient, team-based environment
  • A calm, supportive setting focused on comfort and dignity

Qualifications

  • Active CNA certification (NC)
  • Experience in hospice, long-term care, or acute care preferred
  • Comfort caring for patients at end of life
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
  • Ability to support patients and families during and after death
