You'll provide:
- Hands-on support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
- Observe and report changes in patient condition with attention and care
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and a reassuring presence
- Assist with medications and treatments under the direction of a nurse
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and calming environment for patients
- Collaborate closely with nurses, social workers, and the hospice care team
- Follow safety and infection control guidelines to ensure quality care
You'll need:
- Active Iowa CNA certification (with the state)
- CNA experience; hospice, palliative, or home health care preferred, but not required
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach to caregiving
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while thriving as part of a team
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
- Physical ability to assist with mobility and personal care
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control standards
