Hospice IPU CNA Night Shift

Qualifications:

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide
• Maintains a current CPR Certification
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise
• Valid driver�s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state requirements or reliable transportation preferred

HOURS: (3) 12-hour Shifts/Week 7PM-7:30AM Including Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays/Year

LOCATION: Barrington CareCenter

Now offering up to $26/hour

Night Shift Differentials: Additional $1.25/hour during the week nights and additional $2.50/hour on a weekend night

What You�ll Do:

• The Hospice CNA-IPU (Certified Nurse Assistant � Inpatient Unit) works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient�s personal comfort needs at the unit.
• The CNA is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations, and documenting observations and care performed.
• Performing personal care needs after given a patient�s assignment and attending to his/her requests promptly.
• Meeting safety needs of patient and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, O2 etc.)
• Giving personal care including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos and changing bed lined as often as assigned
• Reporting on patient�s condition and significant changes. Also aware of the caregiver or other individuals visiting with the patient and interpersonal issues
• Adhering to the organization�s documentation and care procedures and standards of personal and professional conduct
