Nursing Assistant, per diem varied, Simon 3-Hospice/Palliative Care, Morristown Medical Center

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Nursing Assistant for the Simon 3 Hospice and Palliative Care Unit at Morristown Medical Center. This is for varied shifts, including every third weekend. 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Supporting nursing personnel in providing direct patient care
• Assisting patients with daily activities such as changing and bathing
• Measuring and recording vital signs
• Administering basic treatments
• Helping to ensure a safe care environment
• Continuous rounding throughout shift to ensure patient and family needs are met
• Assist the team with answering, patient call bells
• Assist visitors and patient's needs.
• Manage EPIC
• Assist with rounds for patient experience
• Ensuring patients and families have a positive patient experience by exhibiting PRIDE behaviors, rounding, collaboration, teamwork and a positive attitude

Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required 

Minimum Experience:

• Acute Care Experience preferred
• Assist with ADL
• Epic Experience preferred
• Medical terminology preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and have positive customer service skills
