For over 40 years, HOWF has served 12 North Texas counties as the region's only nonprofit, community-based hospice and palliative care provider. We meet patients where they are-private homes, nursing and assisted living facilities, and our freestanding 24-bed inpatient center-honoring patient goals while providing premier care.
We're proud of a work culture built on teamwork, clear communication, and respect. If you have the Hospice Heart-a passion for people and a desire to make a difference-we'd love to meet you.
You'll be a steady, compassionate first point of contact for patients and families across Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack, Montague, and Young counties. Day to day you will:
Answer and triage incoming calls; take clear messages and route to providers.
Gather needed information and coordinate with the provider/pharmacy.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm clinic and telehealth appointments to keep the day running smoothly.
Support providers with chart prep, vitals on clinic days, EMR documentation, orders, and follow-ups.
Coordinate referrals, records, and communication with outside offices.
Keep the front office flow welcoming, organized, and efficient.
Typical hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00. On rare occasions, you may help with after-hours coordination if others are unavailable.
High school diploma or equivalent; Current BLS/CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
EMR proficiency; strong phone etiquette and written documentation skills.
Warm, professional communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Prior experience in palliative care, hospice, primary care, or specialty clinic is a plus.
Mission-fit: compassionate, dependable, and committed to excellent patient service.
