Registered Nurse (RN) - Hospice

**Title** Registered Nurse – Hospice/Palliative **Schedule** - Shift: 8-hour days (0800–1700) - On-call rotation for weekends (8 PM–8 AM) **Assignment Details** - Assignment length: 13-week contracts - Average daily census: 63; approximately 5 visits per day **Requirements** - Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience - Epic charting experience required - BLS certification required - Hospice/palliative care skills: symptom assessment, pain/medication management - Experience in outpatient hospice, home health, or skilled nursing required **Roles & Responsibilities** - Provide patient care for geriatric patients in hospice and palliative settings. - Conduct intake assessments and develop care plans with patients and families. - Manage symptoms and provide education to patients and families regarding end-of-life care. - Perform death pronouncement and provide postmortem care as needed. - Participate in on-call rotations and respond to triage service calls as required. **Compliance / Notes** - No RTO allowed after booking; auto-approval for 7 days RTO (not on holidays); no RTO during the first week (orientation). - Candidate must work 2 of 3 major holidays. - License must be in hand at the start; NC or Compact license acceptable.
